What are the production processes for flexible packing bags?
May 15, 2025
In order to make your final bag, we need to finish every step one by one.
First, we will need to finish the design issue, if you can provide high resolution vector files, that will be the best solution. Vector file means we can do both gravure printing and digital printing. While if you can not, then we can help to create a design for you. While sometimes we can not meet together due to different design idea, then clear picture file also can be used for digital printing, but not for gravure printing, gravure printing must need vector files, AI, PSD, PDF, etc, any format as long as in layers will be ok.
Second, cylinder making, which will be needed for gravure printing, normally it will take around 3 days. There will be a one time cylinder cost for this, but when reorder the same designs, no more cylinder cost. And normally we will keep your cylinders for 2 years. If you will do small quantity with digital printing, then no need to make cylinders.
Third, custom printing. We will do custom printing based on your designs. If you need videos for this process, we can make videos for you too.
Forth, laminating. Based on the material you choose, we will do laminating for them, If 2 layers, then one time lamination, if 3 layers, then two time lamination.
Fifth, cutting or call it slitting. Normally used for collage designs or film rolls, slitting the big rolls into smaller ones.
Sixth, bag making. We have over 25 bag making machines for different bag types. Different bag type needs different bag making machines. While if you order film roll not bags, then no need for bag making, just slitting the whole film into small rolls will be ok.
Lastly, packing, After we finish all production, we will pack the bags in cartons and put into our warehouse, then waiting for your shipping requirements.
